As expected. Attacked by some mages and fire elements thingy

Killed them with my bow and of course used ice magic on the fire thingy LOL

There are so many books to be read in Skyrim...

Of course traps were being triggered....

Rescued a Blood Vampire and she killed off all the mages in the next room LOL. Convenient! :oD

Saved that jerk who stole the book. Thought of letting him rot inside there but might be useful for an additional pair of hands.

Oh that jerk got killed in the battle and he said he would help me LOL

Reloaded the game and attempted several times to finish the battle without the jerk dying. Finally succeeded. Just kept on summoning my familiar to help throughout the battle

Wanted to free the other vampire but she doesn't seemed to care LOL

Necromancers! Orthon (that jerk) is certainly useful with his fire summon and magic

More mages....

Been summoning a lot in this dungeon

Attempted the boss twice. First time Orthon got killed. But second time, the focus on summoning paid off and there goes The Caller. :oD

Returned the books to the Library now need to talk to Tolfdir

Asked Faendal to train me in Archery and now Level up! I am now a Level 15 Imperial male :oD

Oh got a free wine from Elrid in the Inn of Winterhold :oD

Need to go sell some gears to free up my inventory space...

Agree to help a guy to save his aunt. What kind of guy would let his aunt do the danger and then find someone to help him because he was too scared?

Of course all caves have to have spiders.

Level up! I am now a level 14 Imperial male! Add point to stamina. Still haven't decided how to use the perk points.

Got ambushed by zombies. Lucky my fire spell is quite good now

Another puzzle but easily solved :o)

Finished off the bad guy. He kept summoning zombies, that was very annoying. So decided to corner him and just hack him to death LOL Silly him putting up a lesser ward thinking that would avoid being hacked to death LOL

Looting all those annoying zombies for gold LOL

Hm the iron door needs expert lockpicking. Will give it a miss

Oh I could just use the key I got from the bad guy to unlock it LOL

That dude is happy and he is going to give his aunt a proper burial. Seriously should have gone in with her right from the beginning.

Ok I am a coward. I cleared it by running back to separate them and then take them out one by one. Not the most courageous way of doing it but a win is a win

Ok got the staff for Enthir but after I picked up a beacon, the voice of Meridia came out (which freaked me for a second) and asked me to take the beacon to Mount Kilkreath

Fast travel to Cronvangr Cave to check it out again but probably not high level enough

A lot of frostbite spiders...but they are vulnerable to fire, so still manageable

Need to wait till magic filled up again. Cos fire magic is really useful here.

Hm should I go into the Broodlair? Maybe save first...

Got attacked by Giant Frostbite Spider! Roast!!!!!!!!

Oh ok you can mine Moonstone Ore from this place but I don't have a pickaxe for this

Oh the area is cleared. Back to Skyrim and of course it is night time again...haya so boring!

Saw another Mammoth. Will sneak pass it.

Got attacked by a pack of wolves and a sabre cat. Nearly failed but Faendal finally turns up!

Got ambushed by BOTH mages and zombies. What the? My familiar got killed quite quickly too! Need to back up and heal! Lesser Ward up and hack the mage. Shield bash the zombies! So Chaotic!!!

Also found out certain enchantment can only be attached to certain equipment...hm interesting

Enchantment also went up to 23!

Did a few more and now Enchantment is 26!

Got ambushed by zombies. Roasted them all!

Got ambushed by bandits. My familiar wolf killed off one of them and Faendal and I worked together to kill of the other. The bandit boss killed off my familiar with one hit but eventually killed by roasting him while Faendal rained him with his arrows :o)

After looting another inventory crisis

Upgraded my armours to steel ones.

Going to add some more points for my stamina so I can carry more stuff and use shield bash more often

The mission seems to be a bit more interesting in a way I wonder whether it is more Tolfdir's own interest than just learning practice

It is always good that you can pay someone to speak in Skyrim and then it increases your Speechcarft LOL

Hm I got a Rockjoint effect that reduced my efficiency with melee attacks. How to lift that?

Day 10 - Learning the art of magic, Whistling Mine, Shrine of Azura

Back from the beach. Didn't want to leave cos it is just a great day to just laze on the beach. But need to  proceed with Skyrim too, so might play a little and then go back down LOL

Need to go to Saarthal for the practical component of my magic class but the info I got from the inn is too tempting to ignore. Will pay a visit to Shrine of Azura first then :o)

A chick called Aranea Ienith said that I was chosen as Azura's champion and she had foreseen my arrival. What the?

Oh there is someone in Winterhold I need to talk to for Azura. If she is so powerful how come she couldn't talk to him directly?

Oh Aranea was from Morrowind. So much references from previous games...

Reload and fled after several failed attempts to kill them.

Met a Bard on the road and ordered some songs

Found out I can mine some iron ores but lack the necessary equipment.

Discovered Stillborn Cave

Will check it out but seems like enemies are beyond my current level in this area...

Enemies spill stuff. Hate it! But killed them.

Got attacked by some ice wolves....survived the ordeal

A woman told me she escaped captivity and asked me to stop the bandits at Mistwatch

Saw a big stone statue thing

Got attacked by an Assassin but managed to kill it. Will loot that bastard!

LOL roasted some ice wolves with my fire magic LOL

And Level up! I am now a Level 7 Imperial!

Saw a huge building from a far. Probably my destination.

Got ambushed and killed by a whole pack of ice wolves....so sad :o(

Discovered Saarthal

Found some seal or walrus type of animals along the icy shores

Found another big statue and a book called "The Importance of Where: The Ancient Tales of Dwemer, Part III" by Marobar Sul

Activated the Shrine of Talos

Saw a group of bandits from afar. Sneaked passed them :o)

Finally arrived at Winterhold! :oD

Bought a claw from Birna for some ancient tomb.

Arrived at College of Winterhold.

Bought the Healing Hands spell and got into the College :o)

Obtained the "Gatekeeper" trophy

Leaving the Forsaken Crypt back into the Forsaken Cave. Back to Skyrim. Of course it has to be night time again...so boring.

Completed the Before the Storm quest and opened up a new quest about Bleak Falls Barrows(?)

Ah I already have this LOL and completed the quest immediately. :oD Was rewarded immediately he he. Got a new trophy too :oD

Oh someone else sighted a dragon. LOL love the accents of the people in Whiterun

Was asked to fight the dragon with an elf but also given the right to purchase property in Whiterun! Happy! :o) - New quest Dragon Rising started

Learning about enchanting from Farengar

Ah as I expected there is an alchemist in town :o)

Asked Arcadia to train me in alchemy :o) Oh need to level up to train more :o(

Hm something I learnt in Whiterun is never ask personal questions, they all seem agitated when I do so

Created Potion of Resist Frost! (Thistle Branch, Red Mountain Flower, Purple Mountain Flower)

Created Potion of Damage Stamina! (Spider Egg, Skeever Tail, Bone Meal)

Hm seems like plants go well with plants mostly though with a bit of exception. Interesting...

Created another version of Potion of Fortify Health! (Blue Mountain Flower, Glowing Mushroom, Lavendar)

Must collect more ingredients. Alchemy is so much fun :oD

Hm some seedy person asked me to look for a foreign woman in Whiterun...should I help?

Made a fine steel armour. Equip!

How come it's night time already???? Time in Skyrim passes so quickly!

Haya tried to save a Mammoth and got killed by it. Sooooooo annoying!

Level up! Now I am a Level 3 Imperial male! 

Decide to increase stamina because noticed that blocking takes up stamina. Will increase Speech with my perk point. Probably important for later in the game to have high persuasion. Also good to get lower prices at shops :o)

Entering the door to the Bleak Falls Sanctum

Faendal seems surprised to see this place. Better be prepared.

Haya more those swinging blades things. Better save first. Faendal says he doesn't like it. Me neither mate!

The moment I crossed. Got attacked. Blocking - Blocking - Shield Bash - Kill!

Wonder whether there is a way to switch weapons on the fly? Or use magic quickly? Any advice?

Hm a key ring puzzle...Yay done! Just need to step back and take a better view of it to do it :o)

Faendal is amazed. So am I.

Gees indeed there is! Nearly caught me by surprise! Good old Faendal helped heaps! Lucky gave him some good steel arrows :oD

Opened a secret passage. 

Yay! Back to Skyrim. Picked up some flowers and skull on the way out.

Clairvoyance magic is so handy! Recommend this to everyone :o)

Oh ran into a hunter at a camp

Activated the Thief Stone :o)

Faendal suggested to check out a cave but then said he doesn't like the look of it once we got in.

Triggered a trap. Everyone was ok but then Faendal tripped over. Maybe should go back at this stage. After all got a golden claw to deliver. 

Haya got ambushed and killed by some rogue mages! 

Killed them the second round with lots of arrows and shield bashes! You asked for it bastards!

Looted them naked. Serves them right! The price you pay for ambushing me!

Yay! Back to Riverwood! :oD

Did some more blacksmithing while waiting for day time to arrive. 

Lucan Valerius is very grateful and gave me some gold :oD

Need some more health potions but he is not selling any....

Now I am a Level 4 Imperial male. Increased Health by 10 and also chose to make Restoration Magic 50% more efficient since I am running out of healing potions.

Also paid Faendal to train my Archery skills up to 20 :o)

Ok my last attempt with Skyrim was not a successful one. I had no idea what I was doing or supposed to do and did not understand the Elders Scroll series. But people keep telling me to try again and persist. I bought the walkthrough the other day for cheap so I thought I would seriously give it another go, but first try to figure things out myself until I get really stuck.

In order to understand what I am doing with this game, I decided to start this online diary to share my thoughts and feelings, and probably solicit help from more seasoned players. So here we go!
